PIANC Young Professionals Leadership Breakfast Series – Newcastle
PIANC invites young professionals in the ports and maritime industry to join us for a FREE leadership breakfast on Wed 22 June at Cirque Cafe, 8 Bolton St, Newcastle, at 7am.
Attendance, food and coffee is free but registration is ESSENTIAL
Anyone 40 years of age or under who is interested in Ports and Marine is welcome to join us including students and those working in related industries such as coastal, environmental, logistics etc.
We will hear from two industry professionals about their career journeys and meet other likeminded YPs over breakfast.
Jackie Spiteri – Founder and Managing Director, Sustainable ESG
Jackie was the Senior Manager of ESG for the Port of Newcastle for over eleven years, until recently becoming the founder and Managing Director of boutique ESG advisory company Sustainable ESG.
Jackie sits on the Board for PIANC ANZ and is a former Chair of the Ports Australia Environment Planning and Sustainability Working Group. Jackie will be discussing her career journey, following her passion for ESG and starting her own business.
Nick Lewis – Director and Senior Scientist, Royal Haskoning DHV
Nick has a background in Coastal, Estuarine and River Environmental Science and Engineering and has international experience, having previously worked throughout the UK, Bermuda, Greece, Australia and New Zealand.
Nick will be speaking about what he has learned over the years including working around the world in a variety of roles from scientific diver and geomorphologist to director.
