Congratulations and welcome to PIANC’s newest regional chapter!
PIANC A&NZ is delighted to announce the formation of PIANC Tasmania which met in June 2022, elected an executive – Chair Neil Lawson, Deputy Chair James Burbury, Secretary and YP representative Tobias Aldridge – and made big plans for the future.
These plans include a networking catchup in Launceston in October 2022 and a two-day conference in Launceston in March 2023 – with a proposed title of PIANC Tasmania: Industry & Involvement.
While the conference will be open to all, with visitors from around A&NZ sought and encouraged, the focus is to be on Tasmania, its capabilities and the major projects currently being undertaken. Themes will include infrastructure, innovations, education, maritime safety, technology and climate change.
As YP Tobias Aldridge noted, ‘I was excited by the discussion and the potential we have as a chapter.’
