About Our Speakers:
Sean Van Steel, Engineering Director of CoreMarine
Sean is an AMC alumnus who is a founding partner of CoreMarine, a specialised ocean engineering company. He runs the Australian branch of CoreMarine from Tassie, where the focus is on new and emerging industries within the ocean and delivering asset integrity solutions.
Come and hear Sean discuss how we can apply lessons from the design and implementation of offshore floating LNG terminals elsewhere in the world to the current challenges facing plans to export alternative fuels from Tasmania, given the significant port upgrades that may be required.
Michel de Vos, Group Executive Major Projects, Assets and Technical Services at TasPorts
With responsibility for eleven ports geographically dispersed around Tasmania that process 99% of the state’s freight, Michel’s role is not for the fainthearted.
Come and hear Michel discuss TasPorts’ journey in Strategic Asset Management, in particular the use of technology from inspection through to project planning and execution.
