Thanks to our Welcomer to Country – Aunty Norma Ingram, a proud Wiradjuri woman, who has lived most of her life on Gadigal country in Redfern. She has over 35 years of experience in serving the Aboriginal community through various roles in education, training and activism, and was the first Aboriginal person to graduate from Harvard University – attaining a Master’s Degree in Education.  Aunty Norma taught us the greeting word “Yama” and reminded us of the importance to Aboriginal communities of caring for country and connecting and sharing knowledge.
