Welcome to our new EO – Paul Weston!

PIANC A&NZ welcomes Paul Weston as our new – and very first – Executive Officer!

In recent years PIANC A&NZ has undergone an exciting period of growth – in membership numbers, events, communications, and increased outreach through the establishment of regional chapters.

In 2022 the PIANC A&NZ Board (all volunteers) agreed that in order to maintain and progress our vision, outreach and capacity we required further dedicated and professional help.

A new part-time position of Executive Officer & Membership Coordinator – delivering important functions of PIANC A&NZ’s strategy and operations – was advertised towards the end of 2022.  And at the May 2023 AGM, Chair Luke Campbell was delighted to welcome Paul Weston and introduce him to our members as our new EO.

Paul, a keen long-term member of PIANC, has decades of experience in the maritime industry, from working at sea within the cruise industry to key operational roles in various Australian ports including Darwin, Gladstone, Melbourne and Tasmania, and in his current (and continuing) position as Regional Sales Manager – Australasia for Trelleborg Marine Systems.

Paul was delighted to take up the opportunity ‘that would allow me to contribute to an organisation that I respect and an industry that I am passionate about.’

Paul will directly report to the PIANC A&NZ Chair, and will work with the Chair and allocated members of the Board on the implementation of strategic objectives and operational tasks in line with the PIANC A&NZ Annual Strategy.

We are thrilled to have his expertise and support in growing our mission.

Welcome to Paul!
