Shirley Dawe, WA Regional Chapter Chair
PIANC AU-NZ are delighted to welcome Shirley Dawe to the role of new Chair of our thriving WA regional chapter.
Shirley is a Principal Marine Scientist with over 18 years’ experience in environmental consulting with a particular focus on coastal and marine developments in Australia and Internationally. She is experienced in collaborating with multidisciplinary project and development teams, contributing to or leading environmental assessments and management required for impact assessment, sustainable development and ongoing operation of these facilities to local and international standards from project inception and through to decommissioning.
Shirley is currently the WA Regional Manager for Hydrobiology, an Environmental Consulting Company offering integrated services in the physical, biological and chemical processes of aquatic environmental systems. Within this role, Shirley supports the team working on projects across the natural resources, ports, local government, and energy transition sectors.
Shirley is passionate about promoting positive working relationships and has always supported colleagues, clients, and now PIANC WA, to achieve great outcomes for themselves and the environment. She has been a member of the PIANC WA team since the Chapter was formed in 2018.
Farewell and thank you to outgoing WA Chair, the legendary Claire Treeby, who remains on the PIANC AU-NZ Board as Lead for Regional Chapters.
