SUMMARY:Insights into PIANC Fender Guidelines 2024: Webinar-Seminar Brisbane 24 July
DESCRIPTION:PIANC Webinar – Seminar – Registrations Essential.  \nHarvinder Singh\, one of the contributors to PIANC MarCom Working Group 211’s report will be presenting on the PIANC FENDER GUIDELINES 2024 \nWHEN: Wednesday 24 July 2024\n5:30 PM – 7:30 PM (UTC+10) \nWHERE: Jacobs Office\nLevel 7\, Jacobs\, 32 Cordelia St \, South Brisbane QLD 4101 \nOnline attendance option available. \nThe Report aims to provide a comprehensive guidance on the design approaches\, assessment\, testing of fenders and fender systems\, addressing challenges and opportunities in an ever-evolving maritime landscape. \nDeveloped through extensive collaboration and expert consensus globally\, these guidelines represent a holistic approach to ensure safe\, efficient\, and sustainable outcomes. Working Group 211 report began as an update of PIANC MarCom WG 33: ‘Guidelines for the Design of Fenders Systems: 2002’. However\, this final report represents a substantial overhaul\, effectively serving as a new guideline rather than a mere update. \nIt is important to note that this guideline entirely supersedes the previous WG 33 guideline. \nThe event is FREE to PIANC Members and students. $30 for non-members. Not a member? Join us now! It’s easy. \nDownload Flyer here.   Presentation ppt here:

SUMMARY:The Carnarvon Fascine - PIANC WA Technical Seminar & networking\, 7 Nov 2024 Fremantle
DESCRIPTION:Join the WA PIANC Chapter event and hear about this project from three angles: the client\, consultant and contractor. \nFollowed by drinks and canapes provided by our generous sponsors BMT and Maritime Constructions. \nThe Carnarvon Fascine serves as a crucial entryway for tourism in the Gascoyne region and has faced some complex coastal transformations over the past 5-10 years. \nFollowing the deterioration of the Fascine entrance channel in 2017\, coastal and environmental reconstruction works have been undertaken to reinstate the entrance channel and dune system.
