With a background in structural and civil engineering\, she has contributed to major port developments as well as marine and coastal infrastructure at different points throughout her career. \n\n\nCaroline’s pathway into maritime engineering has been unconventional — moving in and out of the sector over time. From early involvement in the Cape Lambert Port B development\, to applying engineering thinking in a community coastal erosion response\, through to leading the delivery of marine infrastructure in highly corrosive environments. She brings a practical perspective on building capability\, making decisions outside your core expertise\, and progressively building capability within the maritime industry. \n\n\n  \n  \nDr Sander Scheffers – Principal Scientist & Adjunct Associate Professor\nUniversity of Western Australia I Oceans Institute\, Hydrobiology \n\n\nDr Sander Scheffers is an internationally recognised marine environmental risk and offshore decommissioning specialist with more than 25 years’ international experience across marine ecology\, ecotoxicology\, environmental risk assessment\, geochemistry\, oceanography and marine environmental regulation. He helps operators\, regulators and advisory teams make defensible decisions on offshore decommissioning\, contaminants\, plastics\, mercury\, NORM\, residual risk and long-term marine outcomes. \n\n\nSander brings together academic credibility\, consulting delivery\, regulatory familiarity\, advisory roles and team leadership. He currently leads Hydrobiology’s Marine Environmental Risk Assessment Team and is Adjunct Associate Professor at the UWA Oceans Institute. \n\n  \nHuge thanks to our event sponsors.\nAU-NZ Sponsor \n  \nand Regional State Sponsor\n  \n  \nContact Us: We sincerely hope you will join us for this exciting event.
