DESCRIPTION:DIARISE NOW: Mid West Ports\, Port of Geraldton is hosting a port information tour for PIANC on the afternoon of Thursday 6th November\, with a port tour\, presentations and networking. \nAttendance is free for PIANC members and Mid West Ports staff\, and $50 for others. The total number of participants will be capped at 50. \nThe planned itinerary for the event is: \n12:00 pm – 12:30 pm: Visitor registration at port authority building\, 298 Marine Terrace\, Geraldton \n12:30 pm – 2:15 pm: Port landside tour in 50-seater coach\, stopping for berth walk-around at available berths\, with commentary by MWPA pilot Ray Pead \n2:15 pm – 4:45 pm: Participants will be divided into two groups of 25\, for a boat tour of Geraldton harbour on Eco Abrolhos (25 at a time) and Hydrobiology ROV demonstration at the Batavia Marina \n4:45 – 7:00 pm: Presentations in the Lounge\, upstairs at Geraldton Yacht Club. DESCRIPTION:PIANC WG 251 Industry Advisory Forum will be held on 11–12 December 2025 at Fremantle Ports\, Western Australia.   Online attendance will also be available for international participants or those unable to travel. \nThe Industry Advisory Forum has been established under PIANC Working Group 251 – Guidance on the Design of Parted Mooring Line Arresting Systems\, which is chaired by Jordan Butler of Australia. The forum forms a key part of the group’s mandate to develop risk and reliability-informed guidance for the design and implementation of arresting systems\, and to define the characteristics\, energy\, path\, and velocity of parted mooring line events. See ToR here. \nThis year’s event will bring together port authorities\, operators\, engineers\, line manufacturers\, stevedores\, and contractors to share insights and best practice from across the maritime sector. The forum provides a platform to review interim findings from WG 251\, contribute operational data and experience\, and help shape international recommendations that will make ports safer for personnel worldwide \nThe two-day programme will include updates from WG 251\, presentations from Fremantle Ports\, and round-table discussions with port owners and operators. DESCRIPTION:Join PIANC in Brisbane  for an insightful industry site tour exploring two significant maritime infrastructure initiatives. \nThe event will begin with a presentation from the Port of Brisbane on its dredging and reclamation works\, including the beneficial reuse of dredged material. Attendees will hear an update on the project\, key outcomes to date\, and the engineering and design challenges involved in delivering this important piece of port infrastructure. \nThis will be followed by a guided tour at the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal\, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the maritime design and environmental considerations that shaped the project.
