DESCRIPTION:The Tasmanian Chapter of PIANC is proud to announce the conference PIANC Tasmania\, to be held in Launceston from 20th – 22nd March 2023.\n\nSubmit your abstracts before 2 Feb 2023.  \nEarlybird registration before Friday 17 Feb 2023 \n\n20 March 2023 –Evening catchup for those present at Silo Hotel \nConference sessions will be held at the Launceston Campus of the Australian Maritime College. \n21 March 2023 –Both invited and keynote technical presentations – Conference dinner \n22 March 2023 – Technical tour – AMC Search facilities – and PIANC/Ports Australia sessions tba \nTasPorts projects underway and planned projects will be showcased. \nAll the technical presentations will be on Tasmanian based projects\, showcasing the range of activities in Tasmania.  Whilst we will be focusing on Tasmanian projects practitioners from the mainland are welcome to participate with their Tasmanian experiences. \nBig shout out to our Sponsors as at 10 Jan 2023. Registrations are essential. \nHear from Roger Makins – General Manager Assets and Infrastructure at Fremantle Ports – about his career journey and meet other like-minded young professionals working in the ports and maritime industry. \nRoger Makins has held senior management roles in both the public and private sector. He has extensive experience in developing and leading teams undertaking and providing consulting engineering\, project delivery\, and asset management services in power and water utilities\, and mining and mineral processing organisations.
