DESCRIPTION:Industry event for ports and maritime professionals to spread the word about our industry and meet students\n\n\n\n\n\nWe invite students from all universities and schools on Thursday 11 August 4-5.30pm at the Tav\, Curtin University to join us to discuss career options in Ports and Maritime related industries including related fields such as coastal\, construction\, research\, environmental\, etc… \nThis event is FREE for students. \nWe invite PIANC member companies to attend with 1- 3 people and 1 x free standing promotional banner. You are welcome to give out brochures and business cards but keep in mind the intent is to spread knowledge and enthusiasm about our industry as a whole. \nThe cost to attend is $100 per company\, which will contribute to the cost of this event and support our other student and young professional activities such as our popular leadership breakfast series. DESCRIPTION:PIANC Tasmania Update & Networking Event\nSilo Hotel\, Launceston\nTuesday 8 November 5 – 8pm\nFollowing our successful networking event last year the Tasmanian Chapter of PIANC welcomes members and non-members to come and join us for a drink and canapes at the Silo Hotel\, Launceston to meet like-minded peers and local leaders from the ports and maritime industry. The event is free with RSVP for professionals and students of all ages and career stages. \nWe will hear from Anthony Donald\, CEO TasPorts who will further expand on the Port Authorities significant development projects both currently underway and proposed for the near future. Get an update on the Quay Link project at Devonport and other current and proposed projects around the state of Tasmania. \nNeil Lawson\, Honorary Vice President\, PIANC International and Chair of the Tasmanian Chapter of PIANC will announce upcoming PIANC events both in Tasmania and beyond . \nThe event is on 8th November 2022 5pm – 8pm. Please note that the presentations will start at 5:15pm so please arrive early so you don’t miss out. DESCRIPTION:The PIANC WA Chapter invites members only to attend a FREE technical session and networking event at historic Victoria Quay in Fremantle. \nExperience Fremantle from the roof of the port’s administration building overlooking the Inner Harbour. See Fremantle Ports’ VTS and hear from the Harbour Master’s Office how the VTS ensures navigation safety within port limits 24/7\, 365. \nTake in a short presentation from Fremantle Ports then enjoy a guided stroll along historic Victoria Quay to see and hear about its past\, present and future. The port walk will finish at A-Shed aka Gauge Roads Brewery for light refreshments and networking. \nThis event is entirely FREE for PIANC members but places are strictly limited to accommodate access to the VTS. Registrations are essential via Eventbrite to secure your place. Members who are unable to attend the tour are also welcome to join us at Gage Roads from 6.30 pm. \nPIANC WA hosted 9 free events in 2021 and 2022\, with plans to host a similar number in 2023.
