SUMMARY:PIANC WA Industry/ Student Pizza Night 11 August 2022
DESCRIPTION:Industry event for ports and maritime professionals to spread the word about our industry and meet students\n\n\n\n\n\nWe invite students from all universities and schools on Thursday 11 August 4-5.30pm at the Tav\, Curtin University to join us to discuss career options in Ports and Maritime related industries including related fields such as coastal\, construction\, research\, environmental\, etc… \nThis event is FREE for students. \nWe invite PIANC member companies to attend with 1- 3 people and 1 x free standing promotional banner. You are welcome to give out brochures and business cards but keep in mind the intent is to spread knowledge and enthusiasm about our industry as a whole. \nThe cost to attend is $100 per company\, which will contribute to the cost of this event and support our other student and young professional activities such as our popular leadership breakfast series. SUMMARY:PIANC APAC Conference 2022 Melbourne 4-7 Sept
DESCRIPTION:PIANC APAC is the biennial forum for all PIANC members from Asia Pacific and beyond focusing on harbours\, ports and recreational boating in the region. Non PIANC members are also welcome. The inaugural PIANC APAC Conference was held in Fremantle\, WA in December 2020. \nOur 2022 conference theme “Leaders and Professionals Coming Together” reflects PIANC’s mission to bring together ports\, harbour and recreational boating professionals and ideas to an international forum\, and the opportunities for our members to become leaders in the industry. As our first opportunity to all come together in person for several years\, we hope you’ll join us in Melbourne on 4 -7 September 2022. \nProgram now available – attached is program as at 15 August 2022 – check Conference website for any updates.  \nPIANC APAC 2022 will incorporate concurrent streams facilitating the opportunity for discussion and networking. A trade exhibition will host the Welcome Reception as well as all morning tea\, afternoon tea and lunch breaks. A Gala Dinner is planned with multiple PIANC awards to be presented. \nTechnical tours will also showcase some of the most interesting and innovative developments in the Australian maritime sector.\nNote: The Conference will not include any full peer reviewed papers\, rather authors are required to submit one or two page Extended Abstracts following the template provided. \nSee more information here:  https://piancapac.com/call-for-abstracts/ \n
